The region’s best business network

Business Billund is an independent organisation based in the town of Billund. Business Billund focuses on promoting business in Billund Municipality through specific development projects, professional business services and outreach activities, with a particular focus on the development of tourism.

Why live and work in Billund?

Despite having the infrastructure of a large city, Billund is a small town at heart. With excellent sports facilities, good schools and a welcoming community, it makes for a great place to raise a family, build a business and explore the rest of this fascinating country.

And for those craving a little more action socially – eating out, bars, clubs, cinema, etc. – Billund is situated in close proximity to Vejle, Kolding and Denmark's second largest city, Aarhus. It's easy to get your fix of the big city, safe in the knowledge that at the end of the day (or the early hours of the following morning!) you can return home to the peace and quiet of Billund.

Here a just a few of the benefits of calling Billund Municipality home:

International airport

Billund boasts the second largest airport in Denmark, servicing flights with both business (London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt) and pleasure (Tenerife, Malaga, Antalya) in mind. Only a five-minute ride from the centre of town, the airport makes Billund a perfect place for internationals to feel close to the rest of the world. LEGOLAND® & Lalandia

With two fantastic theme parks right next door to each other, Billund is a favourite for the young and young-at-heart. LEGOLAND® brings its world of colourful building blocks to life, with rides, activities and the famous Miniland to explore, while Lalandia is a year-round, watery wonderland of slides, fun-filled pools and activities for all ages.

LEGO®

Billund is best known as the hometown of LEGO® and the world-famous children’s toy is still produced in town. As the employer of more than 10,000 people world-wide, LEGO has been as part of the town for nearly 100 years and with the new LEGO House set to be opened in 2016, it looks set to be here for many years to come.

International School of Billund

The International School of Billund welcomed its first intake of young children in August 2013. The school is founded by the LEGO Foundation and will offer an education based on Danish Learning Traditions, the International Baccalaureate Programmes and the creative learning approach of LEGO.

Capital of Children

A joint venture between the LEGO Foundation and Billund Municipality, the Capital of Children Company aims to make Billund the children’s capital city. The Capital of Children will become a global meeting place for children, as well as an educational and research centre for those with a focus on children’s play, learning and creativity.
